The Story

On December 20th Jeremy picked me up around 3pm and we went to get coffee. After sitting for a bit and discussing where to eat we went to Unos in Modesto. Jeremy had never been and I love their pizza, so of we went. After a great dinner, yummy pizza, and a fun waitress, we drove to Christmastree Lane in Ceres. The lights were pretty and it was fun to see. Jeremy said he had something he made for me and wanted to go some where I could look at it, so we decided to go back to Ripon and sit infront of the fountain. It was pretty and lit up and the fountain was actually on, so it was kind of wonderful. We sat infront of it and Jeremy gave me a scrapbook he had made. Through that he told me how thankful he was for me and how I have changed his life. At the end of the book, it said he wanted to ask me a question to show how grateful he was to me. Thats when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and gave me the most beautiful ring. After that we drove around, got more coffee, talked, and went to his bestfriends house.

More details are soon to come... along with pictures.

soon to come...

I am really excited to write down my thoughts and what has been happening in my life (in the past year) soon. You know how people send out Christmas cards and reflect on life in a little newsletter type thing? We all get them from old friends, family, neigherbors, etc. Well, I am going to write one, probably a little after Thanksgiving, but I am going to be posting it on this rather than sending it out to a bunch of random people. I figured with myspace, facebook, this, even xanga, the people that care to read it will be able to. Anyway, Im really excited, because a lot has happened and a lot is going to happen!

School is almost over and my grades are... good enough, hopefully.
Work is long, tiring, but a true blessing. Even on days where I hate it, I love those little kids and working with a close friend (Shanelle) has been beyond amazing.
Jeremy is great. Almost 8 months since we have been together and nothing in the world has ever made me happier than that man. I love being with him, watching him grow, and having him challenge me on a daily basis. The perfect man... Maybe not, but perfect for me!

More to come after Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! and Happy Birthday to my big brother, Joshua.

Randomness of life...

I really dont know what to write, but I feel like I should write something for the people that dont see me as often as they should, such as Lisa...
I have been feeling rather sick lately, which sucks since I work at a preschool full of cute little kids that dont need to get sick... I took most of Wed. off and slept and hung out with Jeremy and then got a headach by studying for history. It was grand. Thankfully, Im feeling a bit better.
The preschool is fun. The more I work there, the more I realize that I have such a passion for children and who they are going to become. I keep fast forwarding in my mind to when these kids are in their 20s... I so look forward to what they are going to be and to see if I made as much of a difference in their lives as they have in mine... As far as working at the preschool... Ive had a lot of different ideas and have come to a conclusion, but that will be shared at a later date. If you really want to know, you can come ask me.
I love to learn. I love my classes and how much Im learning from them. My two child development classes have already taught me so much! Thanks to just those two classes, Im a better teacher and will be a better mother(someday in the far far far away future). Its so exciting. And, because of those classes, I have realized even more that the preschool age is the age for me.
Im lacking fun in my life. I work, go to school, do homework, and sleep. I really need fun. Any advice?
Life is good for the most part. Im still learning to be more content. I just keep thinking that life will be more fun in a few months or in a year from now... Which by then, Ill probably be living out on my own, so maybe it will be more fun. But, I cant let NOW pass me up!
Until next time... Stay safe and get involved in a childs life!

...

School has started. Child development classes are fun but hard work.
Im working at a preschool. Its fun and very tiring.
As of now, my life seems to be coming together nicely. I have a feeling something different, hard, yet exciting is about to happen. I also feel like I am ready to experience new things and to go on yet another adventure. Im pretty tired of doing the same thing over and over again, but mostly Im tired of dealing with the same annoying nonsense over and over again.
I kind of want to run away where nobody can find me. The problem with that... Im pretty sure most would be able to guess where I would go. I can think of three possible places... I miss my others homes and my family everywhere around the world.
My heart is aching and needs a change.

Oh Life...

Another new month. This year is going by so fast. Crazy.
A lot is happening without much actually happening.
Im 22.
Im loving my car, however Im not loving the gas prices.
Still looking for a job. blah. Its getting me down.
Im taking a full load this semester at MJC. 12+ credits.
Looking into taking child development classes to become a preschool teacher.
Calvary Community is starting a Sunday night service in Sept. Awesome.
The next few months should be exciting. A lot will be happening in my life in the next year.
I cant wait. yet... I can, because Im learning to be content and loving the now.
Im also learning how to pray and lean on God more. Leaning on Him in the way that when I pray for His will to be done, I KNOW He will answer me. Not just praying because its the thing to do... praying to seek answers. to seek His will. to seek Him.

June is here

June is one of my favorite months. So, I wait for it. I long for it. I plan events for this month, which makes me long for it to finally get here even more. I am now realizing how tragic this really is. There is so much more to this life than just this one month. Instead of enjoying the here and now, I cant wait for time to pass so another time will be here. This isnt just with the month of June, its with almost everything in life. The first day of summer, my birthday, the next time I will see certain amazing friends, christmas-time, getting a degree, getting a good job, moving out, getting married, having kids, vacations, etc. Contentment is a hard thing to have when there are so many other exciting things that will happen in life. Contentment is what I need and long for. Not just that, though. I need to start embracing the present and making the most of it. That way I wont be looking back at what I could have done or what I should have done. I want to do so much with my life and honestly if I keep wasting my time focusing on what is to come, I am never going to get all of it done.
So, here is to tonight, here is to new adventures, here is to making the future happen now, here is to living in the moment, here is to contentment that is exciting, here is to right now!

Life... quitting... giving up...

Sometimes I just want to quit life and give up. That might not make sense, but sometimes life just seems worth quitting. In reality, its not. Nothing is ever as hard as it seems. And, after you endure the hard times, the growth is beautiful. Life is simply beautiful once more.

-Dont Quit-

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road youre trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must - but dont you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Dont give up, though the pace seems slow -
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victors cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt -
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when youre hardest hit -
Its when things seems worst that you mustnt quit.
