Inspiration Thursday

Today I am going to be talking about a person and a place that inspires me! First off the person:

My hubby, Jeremy, is the most amazing man I know! He is always there for me and encourages me and cheers me on in everything I do. He is my voice of reason when life is too crazy, he is my comic relief when like (I) get too serious, he is my support, my love, my rock, my best friend! God has truly blessed me by giving me an amazing man to love and to serve with.Thank you Jeremy for all you do for me and thank you God for blessing us with one another!

Monday was our 2 year anniversary and instead of posting about it then, I decided to wait for today. This weekend we are going away to celebrate to a place that I believe inspires anyone that enters to have fun and to dream and to believe in the impossible!

 Disneyland!

Soon to come will be pictures of me and my wonderful hubby there as we experience our first Disneyland trip together! We have been with our families and he has been with friends, but never together and not for a few years! I am so excited, one more sleep and then we will be there!

Happy 2 years to my best friend and love! May God bless us with many more!

Inspiration Thursday

As I mentioned before I am going to start posting every Thursday about people and sometimes things that inspire me. To kick it all off I am going to write about two people I hold close to my heart.

You guessed it, my Dad and Mom!

My parents are amazing! Really, they are truly the greatest set of people any girl could ever wish for. Everything good in me comes from these two people. They taught me; to have a strong work ethic, to show up on time (if not early, something I use to hate!), responsibility, how to make good choices, how to determine what is best, to serve others, to love with my whole heart, to dream, to believe in myself and others, to trust, to be caring and considerate, to be respectful, to never give up, to know when to ask for help, to stand firm in my beliefs, to be a leader, be a giver, be wise with your money(some may say cheap, but what do they know?) and much more! The most important thing they made sure I knew was and is that I am important and loved by them.

No matter what I do, these two believe in me and are there to cheer me on! If that isn't inspiring, I don't know what is!

Thank you Dad and Mom for believing in me and encouraging me! Thank you for telling me I could do and be anything I wanted, for letting me dream. Thank you for passing down your artistic and crafty abilities to me, for teaching me all that I know. I love you and miss having you around here. I can't wait for our next visit and for the fun we will have together.

You raised two wonderfully gifted and amazing children (They taught me to be humble too, can you tell?) and now you have three kids to love and be proud of!

Inspiration

What inspires you? My grandma made the items in the above picture. They sit in a bookshelf we use as a pantry. We use the glasses occasionally when we are feeling fancy. :) Every time I look at them, I am inspired to try new things with my crafts. I love that my grandma's crafty abilities were passed down to me, although I have not taken up the art of glass painting yet.

People inspire me all the time! They inspire me to create, to dream, to achieve goals, to be better. For the next couple of weeks, on Thursdays, I am going to dedicate an entire post on the different people that inspire me and why. I hope that my posts titled, "Inspiration Thursday" inspire you to dream, create, achieve!

I will leave you with a few pictures:

Julie Andrews, a woman that only betters with age. I love her!

Tay, trying to get us to feed her.

Batman, when he was little enough to fit inside our "fruit" bowl

Life

Sometimes, I look at other amazing bloggers and I think, I need to write something heart felt. Hmmm... Then I try and it doesn't work. Maybe I force it and maybe when I should write what is on my heart, I choose to ignore it instead. Solution=I need to write things down a lot more!
There are a lot of things on my mind lately. I am doing a lot and am very busy! I work at a wonderful place called, Cornerstone Christian Preschool. I hold the title of assistant director and teacher. Recently, I have been adopted into the church family at Cornerstone and have been teaching Sunday school for their preschool program and have also been running the preschool VBS on Wednesday nights. As you can see I am very busy with fun preschool age stuff!
All this hanging out with kids stuff has got me thinking. When will I make time to hang out with big people? I mean, adults. I hang out with my husband and we see his family pretty often. We also have dinner once a week with a great couple that live in our apartment complex. All these things are pretty easy to do and do not take stepping out of my comfort zone too much. What I have realized is my husband and I need other couples to be friends with. On a more serious note, I need real girl friends! Did I just say the word girl and friends in the same sentence? Yes, I did. I have always been more of a "tom-boy" and get along with boys so much better. It is time though, I need, I long for girl friends. My goal is to step out of my comfort zone and be a better friend to girls in my life.

Thoughts, helpful tips, and prayers are welcome.

Just a random wonderful picture of me and the hubby:
